Family Appreciation Post

Throughout my first year of college at Calvin, I have grown in unbelievable ways. I have started becoming a young independent women. I never quite realized that my actions, and personal decisions, not only effect me, but also my family! I understood this concept in a larger aspect however when it came down to me, and my personally choices, I thought they only affected myself, but I was wrong.

This unbelievable trip to Ecuador not only effects me but also my family. I never understood, and still do not completely understand, the stress and worry it places on the people who love and care for me. I am beyond blessed with this opportunity, and even more blessed with amazing friends and family who through their worry continue to encourage me to live my dream.

I simply wanted to thank everyone for the encouragement, prayers, and love I have received prior to my trip.
